As a young girl who loved and practiced art I remember reading about Grandma Moses who first started painting at age 78. Life, as a mother, graphic designer and home manager curtailed any work as a painter but with Grandma Moses as my muse, I delved back into painting 40 years after graduating with a BFA in Painting and Drawing. I am an abject sentimentalist and in these turbulent times have used old family and friends photos as my subject matter. I love the memories and a t the same time feel the bittersweeetness as it just shows how fleeting time can be.
